SAR has just recently completed delivery of yet another seven day ITRA Level 1 & 2 wilderness rope rescue program. The course was conducted in the Blue Mountains with activities at multiple different locations & covered the full gamut of wilderness based vertical rescue techniques. The fully booked program took students all the way from introductory rescue theory & history through knots & rigging, vertical mobility on rope, lowering & mechanical advantage raising systems, litter rigging, artificial high directionals (focussing on the AZ Vortex), offsets and high lines.
We will be looking to run another ITRA 1 & ITRA Level 2 program in the first half of 2023 along with a much asked for ITRA Level 3 wilderness rope rescue course. Keep an eye on our website and social media platforms for details.
