On July 23rd 2014 Petzl issued an update on their previous information concerning the Petzl ZigZag and Zillon.
Several ZigZags have been returned to Petzl with cracked friction chain links. The return rate is still below 2/1000 products sold, and there have been no reported accidents or incidents. However, it is a reminder to all workers at height to regulary inspect their equipment. All ZigZags and Zillons that are returned with a crack will be replaced under warranty.
