Originally developed by Ropes That Rescue in Arizona, the AZTEK (Arizona Technician’s Edge Kit) is in significant use worldwide today & is the leading device of its type. This amazingly flexible tool can be used in more than a hundred different roles & contexts, yet is simple, robust & efficient.
The new CMC AZTEK ProSeries® System is the first AZTEK system to be UL certified to NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) 1983 General Use Manufactured System.
The kit contains 15 metres of CMC’s high performance 100% nylon 8mm cord, meaning the ‘set of fours’ can be extended to 3.6 metres whilst providing a 4:1 or 5:1 mechanical advantage. The overall minimum breaking strength (or MBS) of the system is 38kN. This is 2kN greater than the standard AZTEK Elite System.
The edge restraint/travel restrict end of the system allows for nearly 15 metres of travel, accomplished via an integrated Purcell prusik. A sleeved web edge protector helps protect the cord around anchors & over edges.
