Petzl I’D Evac

Self-Braking Descender with Anti-Panic Function for Lowering from an Anchor

The Petzl I’D Evac is a self-braking descender designed for comfortable and controlled descent and management of a load from an anchor.

Features of the Petzl I’D Evac include:

  • An ergonomic handle designed for controlled management of a load from the anchor. The handle activation is oriented downwards when the unit is rigged upside down, making the device significantly easier to operate inverted
  • An anti-panic function that is engaged if the user pulls too hard on the handle
  • An anti-error safety catch which reduces the risk of an accident due to the incorrect installation of the device on the rope
  • An AUTO-LOCK feature allows the device to be locked off without having to tie off
  • An auxiliary open brake allows the user to increase friction to accommodate heavier loads.

The Petzl I’D Evac is compatible with rope diameters of 10 to 11.5mm and allows handling of loads up to 250 kg.

The I’D Evac is available in gold or black.
