The A-B Descender, Descent device for two-person rescue loads

The A-B Descender is a self-braking squeeze style descender suitable for use by rope access technicians, rescue personnel, tower workers, arborists and special forces.

Rated for use with two-person rescue loads, the A-B has an extendable handle that provides extra leverage and greater control when lowering heavy loads. This multi-use device can be used as a descender, ascender, hauling system brake, tension line break and work positioning adjustment element.

Features of the ISC A-B Descender include:

• Equiped with a panic brake function which is activated when the user pulls too hard on the handle or lets go of the handle
• Large top bobbin which improves rope retention
• Rope latch allows user to remove the rope without detaching from their harness
• Designed for use on single fixed ropes with diameters of 10.5 to 12.5mm
• It has a stainless steel cam
• Each descender is etched with an individual serial number
