The TAC-D from SMC is certainly a neat little package. At 31kN, it is one of the strongest aluminium carabiners available and yet, it weighs just 74g. That’s just the start though, because the real selling point is the matt green finish designed to reduce shine and glare. This finish makes the SMC TAC-D the ideal candidate for use in military, law enforcement and even stage rigging applications.
