The Eashook, a Gated Connection Point for Lanyards

The Eashook Open is a removable gated connection point that allows for direct connection to either double lanyards or work positioning lanyards. It can be used with the range of Absorbica-Y lanyards; the popular Progress Adjust or any Grillon type work positioning lanyard. It is a great option for passing intermediate anchors.

The Eashook’s gated connection point (initially introduced with the MGO Open) means that if your lanyard is damaged, or reaches the end of its safe working life, then your connector can be re-employed by simply purchasing a replacement lanyard and attaching your hook to it.

Other features of Petzl’s Eashook Open include:-

• The Ergonomic shape fits in the hand nicely and gives an excellent grip.
• The double-action locking system is intuitive to use and incorporates the Keylock system to prevent snagging on lanyards, harnesses, ropes or even your tool loops.
• The hook has a wide opening making it easier to connect to a carabiner.
• The special connection point helps to keep the connector loaded on the major axis.
• The H cross-section of the hook ensures a good strength to weight ratio whilst also protecting the markings from abrasion.
• As with all Petzl carabiners, the Eashook includes Petzl’s individual serial number and Datamatrix code.
