Petzl has discovered that exerting excessive force on the fully extended handle of the GriGri 2 can cause internal damage to the unit. As a precautionary measure, Petzl has decided to ask users to immediately stop using all GriGri 2’s with the first five digits of the serial number between 10326 and 11136. These units have been recalled and users can initiate an exchange by contacting the Australian importer at grigri2@petzl.com.au or by phone on 02 9966 9800. This recall does not affect the previous generation GriGri.
