Dodgy scaffolding closes major city street

Police say it could be up to 5 days before parts of Castlereagh Street in Sydney reopen, after scaffolding on a building site buckled yesterday afternoon.  The street remains closed to pedestrians and vehicles while engineers work on the site.  They need to determine whether it is safe to pull down and replace the seven levels of scaffolding affected by the collapse.  More than a hundred workers were on the building site at the time, but no one was injured.
