Man Survives 10-storey fall at power station

A man has survived a 10-storey fall at the Yallourn power station in the Latrobe Valley.  Police say the 47-year-old man fell from a platform and landed in about eight centimetres of hot ash.  The man has suffered serious injuries and burns but was conscious when he was flown to the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne hospital for treatment.  Worksafe is investigating whether the man's safety harness failed.
