Strong and Secure Ascender for Fixed Ropes

The nForce Ascender from Black Diamond is innovation at the highest level.  The nForce's design is based on a multi-element frame construction whose parts are connected with swivel joints.  In addition to the serrated gripping segment, you body weight acts as a second additional force on the rope.  Other innovative features of the nForce include:-

The left hand Black Diamond nForce Ascender is available in orange

  • The nForce can be released three ways
    - with the thumb in front
    - with the index finger in back and
    - by pressing the frame from above
  • A spacious grip that can accommodate gloves
  • A 20mm diameter eye that allows almost all locking gate carabiners to turn 360 degrees

- Meets all DE and UIAA norms for ropes from 8 to 13mm in diameter
- Weight: 245g per ascender

The right hand version of the Black Diamond nForce Ascender is available in anthracite.
