Australian Rope Access Association (ARAA) Level 2

This is a five day (40 hour) course for students who already hold ARAA/IRATA Level 1 or who have industry experience and wish to apply for direct entry based on recognition of prior learning(RPL) or recognition of current competency. (To undertake this course, a potential student would have logged at least 500 hours on a rope in an industrial access setting or possess an RPL portfolio). Advanced rigging and more complex rescue procedures are covered in the Level 2 ARAA course

 

Course Outline
The Level 2 ARAA course is a basic site supervisor course and covers:-

  • advanced rigging
  • horizontal and vertical aid climbing
  • loop traverses and
  • more complex rescue procedures such as rescues from aid and breaking into tight lines.

 

Also covered are:-

  • Job Safety Analyses (JSA's) and
  • Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).

 

Course Outcome
Successful participants receive an ARAA Certificate of Competency that is valid for three years.

 

Course Inclusions
Students should supply their own PPE, however, those who don't possess gear will be fully equiped.

 

Next Scheduled Course & Course Cost
Safety Access & Rescue's next Australian Rope Access Level 2 course is scheduled to be run early next month.  The program will commence on Monday 7th November and run through till Friday 11th November.

The per person cost for this course is $1,575.00(inclusive of GST).
