Australian Rope Access Association(ARAA) Level 1
The Australian Rope Access Association(ARAA) Level 1 course is a five day(40 hour) entry level course designed to give the student a certificate of competency in twin rope access techniques as used in an industrial rope access setting. If you have previous industrial rope access experience, you may like to peruse our Australian Rope Access Association Level 2 course.
The course covers:-
- industry legislation, standards and the ARAA Code of Practice
- fall protection hierarchies for work at height
- rope access equipment
- knots and anchor rigging
- rope mobility (ascending, descending, lateral movement)
- using tools and equipment whilst in suspension and
- mid rope self & partner rescues
Successful participants receive an ARAA Certificate of Competency that is valid for three years.
An extensive student manual is supplied. In addition, students without their own equipment will be supplied with a full set of equipment for the duration of the course. To find out more about the type of equipment you will use, go to our FAQ on Rope Access Equipment.
Next Scheduled Course & Course Cost
Safety Access & Rescue's next Australian Rope Access Level 1 course is scheduled to be run from Monday 13th to Friday 17th of January 2014.
The per person cost for this course is $1,500.00(inclusive of GST).
