Australian Rope Access Association(ARAA) Level 1

The Australian Rope Access Association(ARAA) Level 1 course is a five day(40 hour) entry level course designed to give the student a certificate of competency in twin rope access techniques as used in an industrial rope access setting. If you have previous industrial rope access experience, you may like to peruse our Australian Rope Access Association Level 2 course.

 

Course Outline
The course covers:-

  • industry legislation, standards and the ARAA Code of Practice
  • fall protection hierarchies for work at height
  • rope access equipment
  • knots and anchor rigging
  • rope mobility (ascending, descending, lateral movement)
  • using tools and equipment whilst in suspension and
  • mid rope self & partner rescues

 

Rope Access techniques can be used in a natural or man-made environment

 

Course Outcome
Successful participants receive an ARAA Certificate of Competency that is valid for three years.

 

Course Inclusions

Next Scheduled Course & Course Cost
Safety Access & Rescue's next Australian Rope Access Level 1 course is scheduled to be run from Monday 6th to Friday 10th of February 2011.

The per person cost for this course is $1,500.00(inclusive of GST).
